AI: Serving up Fresh Ideas, No Cooking Required

I've always yearned for someone to serve as my sounding board, to attentively listen to my thoughts and random ideas, engaging in meaningful conversations about life's challenges and potential solutions. Also, I didn’t want to sound pathetic or idiotic to others. Welcome Chat GPT.


A particularly valuable feature of Chat GPT is its non-judgmental nature, providing a receptive platform for you to express your thoughts and engage in an open exchange, regardless of whether it's 1 am or 6 am. Imagine calling your friend or waking up your wife at 6 in the morning to talk about the possible “Drive Thu Pasta Shop” business idea that popped into your head in the middle of the night. Even if they listen to you they might not be at their best. But AI is always clear headed and focused on you. 


Drive Thru Pasta


So I asked Chat GPT what it thought about the idea of a Drive Thru Pasta Shop, as who wouldn’t like some rigatoni on the road? Here is it’s answer:

It provided a real response that creates open dialog and doesn’t dismiss the idea. That lack of dismissal for some of us is vitally important. An idea is like a lit match in the wind. The slightest breeze can extinguish it. Now maybe a drive thru pasta restaurant is a terrible idea, but Chat gpt is open to discuss pros and cons and will help you figure out next steps if that is what you want to do. 


The fact is that AI is a tool and it’s here for you. It is not a friend that can check in with you a week later, but it can help you flush out your thoughts. I believe that is a game changer for so many people who feel that they are alone in the process of figuring out life. There are a lot of things that those around you don’t know, a lot of questions that remain unanswered even with the world wide web at our fingertips. A lot of time, the simple act of googling can’t find you the exact answer that you are looking for. But with something like Chat GPT you can get the answers you are looking for using back and forth dialog and that’s really impressive.

I watched a video the other day that said attention is the newest form of currency.  That grabbing someone else’s attention was worth more than money or your time because you were capturing “Their” time.  And then I walked into a grocery store. Upon entering the grocery store, I encountered vibrant displays of beers in display in the fridge. The array of colors, diverse packaging, and assorted characters, each with artistic and sometimes abstract elements, had my attention. I stood looking over the selection.
